Newgale Lodge

Walkers and cyclists will find it a great spot, and there’s plenty of flexibility for groups, families or solo visitors. You can make your own food or use the restaurant and bar on site. I’d recommend it for all sorts of gatherings, including school or college groups, apprenticeship development, weddings and private parties.

The bunkhouse was warm and had en-suites, just as you'd expect, and the cottage was really comfortable. We also ate in the beautiful dining room in the cow shed. Graham and Ian were so helpful, and Ian even sorted the weather for us. I ran a Yoga and Walking Weekend here at the beginning of November, and we all had a great time. I've booked for next year.

It was very quiet out in the fields, and the Lodge was spacious enough for our party. Our rooms were clean, the sheets freshly laundered, and each room had a clean bathroom and toilet attached. The large kitchen and dining area was well furnished and equipped for a big group, with a big fridge and freezer. We had a good time. We booked through air BnB, and the process was effortless. The host communicated promptly. The Lodge is near the village of Newgale and well signposted off the main road. Coming from the Cardiff side, watch for the sharp right turn.

We came back with the St Wulfram’s church choir, and we'll return again. Graham and the team at Newgale Lodge made us feel welcome, with good communication before the stay and staff available throughout. The home-cooked meals were amazing, and they accommodated the individual needs of everyone in our group. It’s a fantastic place for a large group of young people.
