The Nogg Cottages

We spent most of our holiday outdoors, including trips to White Sands and Folly Farm. One day we had tea in the garden, and we also enjoyed playing together in the lounge. The four of us, with our toddler and baby, stayed in the Tackroom. Henry was very accommodating, provided a travel cot, and checked how we were getting on. Our toddler loved her twin room and saved the other bed for her Lizzie doll and Scout.

We stayed in the Tackroom with friends, our toddler and our little dog, and found it super comfortable and welcoming to both children and dogs. The countryside was so peaceful and the coast is stunning. Our long weekend felt like a week away in another world by the time we got back to grey London. We'll definitely return to The Nogg Cottages for another little spell of magic.

The shower and heating were a real plus during our chilly, wet October break. Clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for two people, though it would feel tight with more.

We've been coming to Pembrokeshire for 15yrs and only just found the Nogg Cottages. We love them. Our kids, 7 and 5, spent the whole time outside and can't wait to return. Henry and Jo were wonderful hosts, making us feel welcome and giving great tips for outings, including places to stop on the drive home. We'll be back again and again until they kick us out. There's loads nearby: Solva is a 5min drive, with lovely walks, coves and a harbour where you can get welsh cakes, tea, coffee and ice cream. White Sands is 10mins away, with its huge, empty sandy beach; Blue Lagoon is also 10mins away for cliff jumping, or you can walk to Porthgain for great fish and chips and local brewery beers. Head the other way to Newgale for surfing and paddling boarding. Something Fishy, the fishmongers right on the doorstep, sells the local catch of the day. St Davids is just down the road for independent shops, galleries, cafes and boat trips around Skomer island.
