The George Hotel Wetherspoon

We'd been rambling up Pen y fan in the morning, then settled at the George around 1:30pm and stayed on terrace table 118 for seven hours in what was arguably the most beautiful day of the year. It was scorching, the atmosphere was electric, and we all got a cracking tan. My fish n chips was sensational, and the nine tanning gummies I chewed afterwards probably helped with the tan too. Prices were remarkable. I'm used to paying £7 a pint in Manchester, so £25 for a round of eight drinks was a delight. The hotel rooms were world class, the showers superb, and there was enough room to swing a cat. Faultless from start to finish, Christ. We left at 9am this morning with a glow and will definitely be back before the year's out. Keep an eye out for the town magician too. His Lemon trick was remarkable, and he got a tip. The Worcester whackers x.

The room was great value, cosy and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being just one floor above the pub. We had curry night, and the food was great. Breakfast was great too, with a big portion of yogurt and fruit.

I'm travelling around the UK in my van, and I find eating at Wetherspoons better than cooking for myself. The staff are always cheerful and attentive. Thank you very much 😊

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was clean, good value for money, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Five stars. We'll be back.
