The staff were lovely, polite, friendly and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Our room was spacious, warm, spotless and well equipped. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the meals were superb, especially the curry, which ranks among the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast had a very good choice and was first rate too. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at The George and will most certainly return.

The included breakfast was very large, and the restaurant happily catered for my vegetarian diet. I also enjoyed the food there. This is a small hotel above a very good Indian restaurant, and I had a pleasant, comfortable stay. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There’s a paid car park opposite, £4 for the whole day.

A party of five of us ate here tonight and had fantastic food with prompt service. The flavours were amazing and the portions huge. Everything I tried was delicious, particularly the Mixed Grill and Mushroom Rice. The landlord, staff and waitresses were all kind and friendly. I’d totally recommend the restaurant. 👍

There were so many interesting things on the menu that I had a hard time choosing. The food was gorgeous, and I’m already looking forward to going back. The staff were friendly and helpful, parking is close by and the location is convenient. Good value too. I’d definitely recommend it.

We shared three curries and wow, they were stunning, beautiful food. Service and staff were 10/10, and the prices were reasonable. We’ll most definitely eat here again. Thank you! 🤩
