We stayed for two separate three-night visits and couldn’t fault the place. The food and rooms were great, and there was a friendly atmosphere throughout. Andrew, his wife Steph and the staff were happy to help with anything. A country pub well worth visiting for a stay or a good meal.

The menu gets the balance right between pub favourites and more refined options, and we had some of the best food we’ve eaten in a long time. We stumbled across The Cricketers today for lunch and were made to feel very welcome, dogs included. The food, service and atmosphere were just right for us. If we’re back in the area, this will be a definite stop. Thank you!

A little hidden pub gem, with a cracking lunch menu and fantastic food from a chef who clearly knows what he’s doing. The staff were friendly and attentive too. I came across it today and liked it so much I almost didn’t want to share the find. Next time I visit, it’s bar billiards time. Well done, you deserve it.

The food was fantastic and the beer was good. Staff were friendly when we arrived and showed us where to park, even offering an electric hook-up. We’d had a date mix-up with a local motorhome site and needed somewhere nearby for the night. Most places we found were grass sites and might not have been open in December, so we did some research and found The Cricketers Inn. The staff my wife spoke to said we were welcome to stay if we booked a meal, which felt like a win-win. We hoped to come back for another dinner before heading home, but an issue at the campsite we were on meant we cut the holiday short. We’ll remember this Inn for future trips to Winchester. Thanks to you and the team.

Lunch at the pub was great. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent and the price was fair. We’d definitely visit again if we were in the area.
