Babbling Brook

The Sunday carvery was cooked perfectly, with three meats to choose from and all the trimmings. Staff were friendly, and the price was very reasonable. There's parking round the back of the building. Had an incredible meal here recently.

Really good pub, with a lovely beer garden. The service was friendly and professional, and the food was tasty and worth the money. This place was brilliant.

The mattress was far too hard, though to be fair I've slept on one just as bad in Monaco on a work trip. They sorted it easily by adding a memory foam topper. I was in bits, so I was glad I could have a bath in the morning. I met Jeff, a lovely chap, and was sorry to hear about his accident. The lady we booked the room through was brilliant. I can't comment on the food because the pub was closed, though the reviews look brilliant too. I'd come back, but please sort the bed out. Hope Jeff's arm gets better soon and that the appointment goes well. Steve C

The classic English pub feel is good, but the place needs a refresh. The space needs updating, and since they're advertising it as somewhere to eat, they should make a better effort with how it's presented. Hygiene was a real problem: the tables and chairs weren't kept to a nice standard, and there were flies all over the ceiling. The toilets were very poor. The staff were pleasant, so service gets 7/10. Food was quite nice, 6.5/10.
