I used to love this gym. If I went at the right time, I could always get on with what I wanted to do. The pool was lovely, as were the sauna and hot tub, and the staff were massively helpful. I wish Scarborough had a place like this, because it's too far for me to travel now.

A great gym, and the staff are friendly x

Avoid joining this gym. Last year I was sold a membership on the understanding that a promotional offer would last 36 months and I could cancel whenever I wanted. Payments are collected by a third party, Debit Finance Company, which has terrible reviews. The contract has several terms I think are unfair, and they won't acknowledge or remove them so I can cancel. When you refuse to let them take your money, they threaten legal action.

I've only been a member for a few days and I'm already hooked. The facilities are very good, especially the fantastic pool. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the members I've met so far have been really friendly too. I haven't tried the gym yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I'd happily recommend Palms Court Leisure Club.

I was told I could cancel whenever I wanted, but now I'm getting debt letters demanding money. I only used it for three weeks and had already paid a month upfront. Don't join.
