The Hideaway

We had a peaceful, relaxing week here in late October, though the narrow lane down to the cabin was a real challenge. We kept meeting cars and vans coming the other way, so it’s not for nervous drivers. The cabin itself is tucked away in the countryside near a secluded shingle beach. With three of us, having two bedrooms and two bathrooms worked perfectly. The living and dining space, well equipped kitchen, and little island made it cosy and comfortable. We didn't use the wooden terrace much in the changeable weather, and the warning about it being slippery when wet was right. Bring your supplies with you: after arriving we had to do a big shop in Bridport for basics, including toilet and kitchen rolls, consumables, salt and pepper.
