We arrived late on Sunday and didn’t expect food to still be available, but the owners kindly arranged the last two roast chicken dinners for us. They were really good, especially the Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Lovely village and friendly staff.

We were out cycling when we stopped by with my son. The landlord came out with a couple of pints and some crisps, and was so friendly. Great spot and outstanding service.

The location is superb, and on a sunny day it would be lovely to sit outside. My husband Richard and I had a splendid visit, with Martin and his team taking such good care of us. The Sunday Roast was delicious, and Richard, who needs dairy-free food, could still have his favourite vegetables, including cauliflower without cheese. We live nearby and didn't stay overnight, but we'll be back. I imagine the accommodation is as good as the food.

The four of us and our dog came in for Sunday Roast, and it may be the best one we've had in ages. It was very reasonably priced, too. Everyone made us feel welcome and the service was great. I could easily have had another helping just because it tasted so good.

I visited the Three Horseshoes back in 2019 and somehow never got around to writing this. The pint I had in the outdoor area behind the pub is still the best located one I've ever enjoyed, with a tremendous valley view. I still have a soft spot for Powerstock and sometimes dream about living somewhere beyond London.
