The garden was our favourite part, with plenty of room to sit outside or eat in peace. The house feels tucked away, but Brighton is still close enough to enjoy. Inside, it’s full of character, with lovely, interesting furniture and everything we needed. We also enjoyed the open views across the land to the sea and the cool coastal breeze on warm days. The host was thoughtful and kind throughout. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

The owners were friendly and easy to reach by phone, and we felt well looked after. The house is a comfortable home away from home, with a roomy lounge, two big sofas, a TV with lots of channels, and a little conservatory. Panoramic windows look out over the garden towards the sea. It’s a single-storey place with two bedrooms, one with an en-suite toilet, plus a separate shower and toilet. The kitchen has a washing machine, toaster, standard stove and a serving hatch to the dining area, though no dishwasher. Parking is on the street rather than at the house, but you can drive up to the shops. There’s a bus stop, a two-minute drive to the petrol station with a Tesco, and Brighton is 15 minutes away.
