The Sitwell Arms Hotel

Karen handled the planning before our wedding and kept me calm by making sure things were taken care of early. Sharon was brilliant on the day. She met us at the wedding car with a brolly and walked us to reception in the bad weather, such a thoughtful touch. The Honeymoon Suite had a leak, so we couldn’t stay there. We were told as soon as we arrived and given a spacious, lovely four-poster room instead. If we hadn’t known about the suite, we’d have thought this was it, and the bed was so comfy. Everything else went smoothly. Dinner service was well organized, and the evening buffet went down a treat. We were the first wedding in the newly refurbished Banquet Suite, which looked fresh and airy and matched our colour scheme so well. We got so many compliments about the venue, food, and rooms. The bar staff and waiters and waitresses were fantastic, and we can’t thank everyone enough for making our wedding day so special. We’d 100% recommend it.

The rooms we stayed in were gorgeous, and we felt supported throughout the day. From booking the wedding package through to the wedding itself, everything felt easy and effortless. The staff had everything covered, so I didn’t have to worry. Everyone was friendly and smiling, and went above and beyond. The bar staff worked their socks off in the evening, then told us how much they’d enjoyed working at our reception. Our wedding at The Sitwell Arms on Sunday the 23rd of November was perfect from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a special day. Beautiful venue, amazing staff, perfect day.

The drinks are well kept, the food is consistently great, and the place feels looked after. As a local, I’ve watched this pub keep getting better. It’s warm and welcoming, just what you want from a regular spot, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Lewis and James took really good care of us. They’re friendly, quick with service, and happy to chat without overdoing it. Even if it’s your first visit, they make you feel like a regular. That’s why I keep coming back. Easily five stars, and the best pub in the area.

My wedding at the sit well arms hotel on the 28th December was the most beautiful day ever. The room was lovely the night before, so the girls and I could get ready and enjoy the whole experience. Michaela made the wedding decor look stunning, and Karen helped me through months of planning. She’s a superstar. Our wedding coordinator was amazing too, though I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten her name. She didn’t stop all day or night, and was so caring and helpful with everything. Huge thanks to all the staff. I’ll definitely be back.
