The location makes it easy to get to the beach and town centre. The place itself feels worn, especially the bathroom, which really needs updating. With six people staying in hot weather, the filthy window that wouldn't open made the room feel like a sauna. There’s also a noise monitor with a very low threshold. We got two warnings, even though the neighbours and the man opposite all said they hadn't heard us. When we questioned it, we only got a generic reply.

Brighton is lovely and I’d recommend visiting, but I wouldn’t recommend staying in this house. It was dirty, and the neighbours were extremely rude. When we raised that with my getaways, they spoke to us in an extremely rude, almost abusive way. It really spoiled my family’s first trip to Brighton. The properties are overpriced and not worth it, so please look elsewhere.

The kitchen has no smoke detector, despite that contradicting their own risk assessment. The photos are old and make the place look much better than it is now. It’s dark, grubby and run-down, with broken equipment, more like student accommodation. Even the impressive-looking double doors in the pictures don’t open.

There were six of us staying for a couple of nights for a stag do, and we had no complaints. It’s a good base, with a reasonable walk to most places and cafes and takeaway spots nearby for late at night or the morning after. A really good short-term rental.

It’s a great stay. The reviews seem out of date and don’t match what it’s like now, as it’s probably under new management and was probably renovated in 2022.
