The only downside is that the shower design leaves the floor wet. Otherwise, it's a smart, practical place and easy to access, with off-road parking that's especially useful during the week or when dropping off or collecting kids at Uni with a carload at the end of the year. This was our second visit and probably won't be the last. It's just right for visiting kids at Uni.

We didn't see our hosts, but getting in was very smooth. The flat was quiet, bright and immaculately clean, in a great spot for our daughter at the university accommodation and for all the lovely shops and bars of Clifton.

Alison Court is a handy base for Whiteladies Road and everything there, with the open space of the Downs very close by. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again. Access was easy, with clear instructions for the lockbox and electronic fob, and the parking at the rear was much appreciated. The apartment was clean, welcoming, warm and well equipped, with enough space for two people and plenty of storage for a week. The kitchen had a cooker, hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine, plus tea, coffee, milk and other thoughtful touches. The TV worked well. We were in a quiet apartment at the back of the building on the second floor, with no disturbance from inside or road noise. The double bed was very comfortable, although one side was against a wall, which could make getting in and out harder for some. There was only one electric radiator, but it kept the place warm.

It was in excellent condition and nicely decorated, with tea, coffee and milk well stocked. A good spot for a short stay, and having its own parking is a real bonus in Bristol. We'd definitely stay again. There were a few letdowns: the shower had neither a door nor a curtain, and we couldn't get TV channels, only Netflix. The team replied quickly to explain that there are some issues at the moment. A dishcloth or sponge would also have been useful for the kitchen surfaces, as there was only a tea towel.
