The Longlands Hotel

I didn’t feel it was safe for my wife and young children to sleep there, so we left and informed Booking.com. We checked in, raised all the problems with the receptionist, and left 15 minutes later. The hotel says it’s smoke and drug free, but the whole place smelled of smoke, including our room. The sink was badly cracked, one single bed’s headboard was falling apart, and the side of the bed base was heavily stained. Worst hotel ever.

We came from Manchester for a wedding after our hotel in redcar cancelled on us, and spent two nights in room 31 with my partner. The rooms were clean, and the guy behind reception was lovely and sweet. It was a brilliant stay. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you.

The carpet was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The bed hadn’t been changed, and there was body hair on the sheet. The shower was dirty too. The reception, lobby and room all smelled of cigarette smoke. I left within five minutes of entering the room. Avoid it.

We checked in and left after ten minutes. The rooms were shocking and absolutely terrible, with furniture falling apart. The owners never upgrade the rooms, and there were some weirdos hanging around reception. There was smoke smell everywhere. Avoid.
