The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and dogs are welcome. It’s a lovely old building in a great spot, with reduced parking charges for residents. The bar was very accommodating and let us eat our food in the Marriott side of the hotel, so we could have a meal without ordering room service. The air-conditioning was a welcome bonus.

I’m a regular here and would recommend it without hesitation. I usually stop in for a hot chocolate, and it’s excellent. The hotel is always spotless, the food and drinks are top quality, and the atmosphere feels calm and elegant. Service is polished, and the staff are consistently courteous.

The hotel’s central location made it easy to walk to Bristol’s sights, restaurants and nightlife. The Cathedral and Cabot Circus are only a short walk away, so it worked well for sightseeing and business alike. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with stylish decor, a coffee maker and a modern TV. The hotel felt welcoming and well run, and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. There’s plenty on site too, including a gym, restaurants such as Miller & Carter, a bar and lounge, and valet services. It made a comfortable base for exploring the city or going to an event.

Sabina made our stay especially memorable. She was friendly, attentive and genuinely caring, and we felt looked after the whole time. Breakfast was pleasant, with a good choice of food and a nice setting. The room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the hotel’s elegant decor gave it a warm, relaxing feel, especially during the festive season. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel.

The staff were kind and helpful, the location is great, and breakfast was tasty and filling. But the hotel is showing its age. The rooms are spacious, though the furniture and decor feel old, and the beds were small. Cleanliness let things down too: our carpets were dirty when we arrived, and there were cobwebs on the bathroom ceiling.
