Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton by IHG

The restaurant food was tasty enough, and the staff were lovely once they finally got to me. On both nights of my two-night stay, I was repeatedly overlooked and had to ask to place my order. My premium room was large and had modern decor, but it wasn't very clean: there was a brown crust around the basin plughole and an empty bottle on the floor. The building is old and they've tried to modernise it, but you can still tell. There was a strange damp smell in the corridors, and the bathroom smelled especially bad, like drains. I normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the road and thought I'd treat myself here. It didn't work out, so I'll go back to my usual Holiday Inn Express for my weekly stays. The hotel was just meh.

Check-in was smooth and the receptionist was super friendly. The room was big, quiet and warm, with a really comfortable bed, hot water and excellent pressure, plus a large smart TV and a fridge. We enjoyed breakfast with the lovely staff and made time for the swimming pool. The water was warm, it was clean, and the facilities were very good. The location is great, with easy access in and out of the hotel and close to major motorways. There was plenty of parking too. We had a lovely, comfortable stay, just what we expected from Holiday Inn. Thanks to the team. We'll definitely be back soon.

The dining area handled group meals well, with an organized setup and a good choice of food. We were part of a group tour, and check-in was efficient; staff stayed accommodating while dealing with several guests at once. The location was convenient and accessible. Our rooms were clean and spacious, a comfortable place to unwind after touring. The facilities were well maintained, and the hotel felt calm and welcoming. It worked well for our tour group and seems a practical option for individual travelers too. A reliable, comfortable Bristol stay, especially for organized tours.

The room was clean and good. There's a pub and some shops right next to the hotel, and the train station is a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast wasn't to my taste. There wasn't much fresh or healthy food, and as a vegan I found very few choices.
