Berry Head Hotel

The sea views were stunning from every angle, and there’s a lovely dog walk to Berry Head right from the back of the hotel. We had a delicious breakfast and dinner in the brasserie, and the pool and jacuzzi were clean and great. It was a perfect, reasonably priced family stay with our dog Lola. The staff were welcoming and happy to help with anything. Highly recommend.

We spent three nights here for our wedding and couldn’t fault the stay. The views are amazing, and all our guests commented on the venue, staff and food. The food was hot and amazing, and the Management Team and staff worked incredibly hard to make sure our day ran smoothly. Huge thanks to you all. I’d happily recommend The Berry Head hotel for a wedding or a weekend away.

We tried the Berry Head Hotel’s “Dip and Dine” recently, with a swim followed by a meal. The food was really tasty and nicely presented, and the pool and other facilities were very good. Sitting out on the balcony, with its amazing views, made the whole visit even better.

We booked our table ahead of time, dressed for the occasion and took a taxi to and from The Berry Head, so it was a real letdown. The Bistro was so cold and drafty that we couldn’t take off our outdoor clothes. When my wife ordered Crab Gratin, she was given a different dish. The waitress had to ask us what gratin meant. I admired her trying to learn, but the Berry Head management team should provide some menu knowledge and in-house training. My fillet of plaice was awful, not pan fried or grilled. It seemed as if it had come from the freezer, with a few frozen prawns and capers added, then been microwaved for 80 seconds. My knife and fork were filthy, with dried food that looked like melted cheese on them. Halfway through our meal, staff brought in extra chairs and lined them up in front of us so six people could watch the pianist, and none of them bought a drink. What a shame.
