Brookside

We had a great September stay. Linda and Joe are lovely hosts, and the rooms are spotless and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent, with a big menu to choose from. Maybe there’ll be more Mario Lanza next time. See you soon.

Linda and Joe were so warm and professional, and couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. When the weather was hot, they even brought a fan to my room. The breakfasts were outstanding, freshly prepared and cooked, with a huge range of choices. Everything in the house felt thought through. It was sparkling clean and fresh, and the bed linen was super comfortable. I had a wonderful stay, can’t thank them enough, and will certainly return. Thank you so much, Linda and Joe!

After six months of deep sadness, I needed a few days away and found this guest house, which seemed just right. Brookside is a little gem, with a comfortable room, lovely hosts and the most delicious breakfasts. It’s a short walk from the town centre and harbour, and there’s an attractive garden and sun terrace too. I’d return, and would recommend a visit if you’re ever in Brixham.

The hot tub and sauna were a real treat, and the lighting made the area feel lovely. A covered place to sit would be useful in bad weather, and a small outdoor Bluetooth speaker could be a nice addition. Jo and Linda were happy to help with extra breakfast requests, and breakfast was fantastic. It was easy to reach town on foot, with handy on-site parking, and the location made it simple to explore the English Rivera. Lovely hosts and a great stay.
