The river swimming spot Michael told us about was only an 8-minute drive away, and everyone enjoyed it. He was wonderful from the booking stage onward, sharing lots of useful ideas for things to do nearby. We had a lovely time even with the stormy, rainy weather. There were walks right from the house, and the children stayed busy with the toys and games. They spent ages working together on the mindfulness puzzle and managed to finish it. Thank you, Michael, from Samuel, Rebecca, and all the children!

There’s just one bathroom, so with a big family or lots of friends, having only one toilet in the morning could be a problem. The property is really in the middle of nowhere, which suits anyone looking for complete peace. The narrow roads leading there are plentiful, though that’s what you’d expect in the countryside. There seemed to be at least 20 spiders living around the property.

Michael, the owner, was extremely helpful and had everything very well organised for our stay. It’s a great family-friendly place to stay, and the location is amazing, with lovely walks right on the doorstep.

No phone signal, which was heaven. The cottage is peaceful and relaxing, right in the middle of nowhere, but has all the modern conveniences.
