The spa day felt like a real reset. My friend and I booked the House Hideaway Package and found the whole stay wonderfully calm, with massages spaced out so we could enjoy the day instead of rushing between treatments. The outdoor hydro pool, thermal suite and relaxation areas made it easy to switch off, and our room was cosy, luxurious and carefully thought through. Dinner and drinks were relaxed and delicious, a lovely finish to the pampering. From arrival, the staff were warm and attentive without hovering, and everything went smoothly. We left relaxed and recharged, already thinking about coming back. A great choice for a girls’ getaway, a special occasion, or simply some time for yourself. 10/10, I’d recommend it.

We were based at The Fish hotel, a sister property, and came over for a Spa Day package with morning spa time and lunch in the afternoon. The facilities beforehand were amazing, the massage was really relaxing, and lunch afterwards was incredible. I may have had the best fish and chips of our trip there. We’d definitely come back.

Breakfast was excellent, and the spa, reception and spa teams were excellent too. The dining was a letdown, though. The ploughman’s lunch in the bar was very poor, and I didn’t think the restaurant main courses were very good either. I expected more variety in the mains. The waiting staff didn’t seem well trained in table service, and no one asked if I wanted another drink all evening.

The snow room was a real highlight of the Morning Meander spa visit my daughter and I enjoyed. We were welcomed as soon as we came in, and made good use of all the spa facilities. Lunch was superb, with my daughter’s coeliac needs fully catered for. We’d love to return.

We chose Dormy House for the small, luxurious start we wanted to our Cotswolds trip, and the service exceeded even our expectations for a luxury hotel. The Attic Room is well worth considering, it’s spacious and well appointed. We loved the food and drinks too. Dormy House is a special place.
