We went to the pub to watch Junco Shakers play and were really happy with the whole visit. The food was amazing, well prepared and tasty, with huge portions and excellent value for money. Everyone was welcoming, especially Lucas, who went above and beyond for my husband and me. He was polite, friendly and kind, with great customer service skills. You can tell the locals love the place, there's a real community spirit. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Southampton.

Everything was lovely, and I can't fault a thing. Dinner was really good, with high-quality dishes I enjoyed, and tasty beer alongside. Breakfast had a fantastic choice of cereals and cooked food, plus fresh raspberries. Even with the pub full and busy, the service felt personal and was absolutely perfect. Make sure to phone ahead for an evening dinner table, it was busy both nights I was there, which shows how popular it is. My room had a very comfy double bed, a small kitchen area, plenty of space to hang things, and a fan that was welcome in the warm weather. Towels and small bottles of shampoo and shower gel were provided too. The rooms are lovely, and I'll plan a return visit with the family.

Lunch with friends was really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They accommodated our food intolerances with very little trouble.

The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly. Dogs are welcome, and the nearby heath has great walking, with a strong chance of seeing the beautiful horses.
