The staff, especially at reception, were so friendly and welcoming. I was there for one night while my daughter was at a local competition, and it was really good value. There’s lots of open space and seating in the main areas, which are nicely decorated. I enjoyed sitting by the fire with a coffee. The food was pretty good too, and there was a great choice of drinks. The room felt a bit tired in places, and the air con didn’t work, though I didn’t need it in winter. The bed was comfortable, and you could swap the pillows for a different type. For one night at that price, I can’t really complain.

The person working in the restaurant last night deserves a special mention. He helped my husband with his Valentine’s surprise and even gave us the cake for free. It was a really thoughtful gesture, though I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. We had a wonderful stay yesterday. The service was excellent throughout, and our room was clean, comfortable, and carefully prepared. The complimentary drinks in the fridge were a lovely touch. Thank you for making the evening so memorable.

The bar and restaurant had some really good food, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location worked well for us, with plenty of parking, and having access to the leisure club was a nice bonus. We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Birmingham – Bromsgrove and would happily return.
8/10
The pool was good and never seemed too busy, and there are some nice family perks. We had a decent stay in a good modern room with friendly staff, and I’d stay here again. The outside of the hotel and the car park could use some investment. We ate dinner here one night. The kids eat free, which is fine, but the food was only okay. It’s convenient, that’s about it.
10/10
We had a brilliant night at the Christmas work do on Friday 28th. It was just under £60 pp, which felt like an absolute bargain for a nice three-course meal, plenty of drinks on the table, and a free bar. They had branded drinks too, including gordons pink Gin. The waitressing and bar staff were really good and friendly. The DJ wasn’t the best, though. Even after being asked for 70s and Motown, he played more for the younger crowd.
