The staff were friendly, which was a plus, and my room was clean. But it didn’t feel up to Premier Inn standards. The walls had blanking plates where old sockets had been, and the paintwork was rough. It looked like a low-grade hotel that had been taken over. The on-site pub is a sizzling inn. They got my food order wrong, though they fixed it quickly. The steak was the toughest, most sinewy piece of meat I’ve had in ages. This site also doesn’t offer the Premier Inn breakfast. Most Premier Inns are pretty good, but this one was poor and needs a lot of work. Until then, stay clear.

The family room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We did find curly hairs on the bed, which was off-putting. The staff member changed the covers and bedding with our help, and gave us some goodies for the inconvenience. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but it was okay.

Our family room was bigger than a usual Premier Inn room, and it was very quiet. The staff were friendly, and there’s a good-value breakfast available that’s very similar to the standard Premier Inn breakfast. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

The hotel feels noticeably dated compared with other Premier Inns, but the rooms were decent. Customer service was great. The woman at the desk was warm and genuine, and keen to help and share information.

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, and check-in was easy. The rooms were standard Premier Inn style, clean, and comfortable. It’s easy to reach from the M5 and there’s plenty of parking. There’s also a pub and restaurant next door with a varied menu and quick service.
