Wye Knot Stop

We stayed in the upstairs Mill room for two nights over the weekend with two others. It had plenty of space, the beds were very comfortable, and it stayed nice and cool during the heatwave. Hosts Paola and Jonathan were welcoming and helpful from the time we booked, and friendly and attentive throughout. Breakfast was lovely, and the cakes for sale were sublime. Wye Knot Stop is worth a visit for food or an overnight stay. The location was good too, with most places of interest not far away.

We spotted this place while passing and stopped for coffee, then decided to have lunch as well. We sat at a nice shaded table under a tree out front. Both the food and service were very nice. It's on the corner of a fairly busy junction, but the local scenery was still pleasant. We enjoyed the visit and would return if we're in the area. Highly recommend for a lunch break. We also heard the evening food is just as nice!

The menu is small, but dishes are full of fresh ingredients and come out with very little wait. Portion sizes are just right, and there's a good choice of cakes and hot drinks for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. There's indoor and outdoor seating, plus local products like honey and coffee to buy inside. I've been a few weekend lunchtimes lately after a vegan friend recommended it. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.

On a long road trip, we stopped here and were delighted with the food and service. The staff were lovely, the burger was really delicious, and even the toilets were clean. There's also a cute little gift shop inside. We'd definitely go out of our way to stop here again. Thanks!
