That Sunday roast was so good! There was a lovely range of mains, including beef, lamb, chicken, pork and vegetarian options, plus plenty of desserts to choose from. I'll definitely be back.

The food really stood out when my wife and I stopped in on the chance they'd have a Sunday lunch. The roast was carefully cooked and presented, and better than we expected. We had a couple of drinks at the bar first, served by a lovely woman behind it. Since the old review two years ago, the place has changed owners and had a full refurbishment. It still has the building's character, with a modern feel added. The new owner is cheerful and keeps checking that guests are being looked after. Prices were fair, and the log fire made it feel especially cosy. We'll certainly be back.

When our car broke down near the roundabout, we walked over to the pub for lunch while waiting for the tow truck. The portions were enormous, more than Mr and Mrs Average could manage, and the simpler dishes we chose were good value. There's an interesting mix of pub and restaurant, with something for people who want a meal and for those after a drink. The inside is pleasant, the staff friendly, and there was a great choice of food.

We had a fantastic time celebrating our niece's 18th birthday with 22 other family members at the Royal Oak at Brookland Village Kent. The food was delicious, with a good variety and proper home-cooked dishes. Staff were smiling and attentive from the warm welcome onwards. Thanks to everyone who made the occasion such a delight. We'll definitely visit again!

We found this place by chance while heading to camber and were really pleased we did. The garden was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the service was great. Food was hot, freshly cooked and good quality, all at a reasonable price. We'll stop for lunch again on the way home 😀
