Breakfast had plenty of choice, with hot food and drinks, plus fresh fruit, yogurts and continental options. The staff kept things topped up and were there to help. We also enjoyed lunch in the bistro, which was reasonably priced with good food and service. Dinner and breakfast were part of our overnight spa deal, and the three-course evening meal was great. We chose seabass and belly pork for mains, different starters, and a duo of desserts, ice cream and sorbet. Everyone enjoyed their treatments too: two massages, a facial and my luxury pedicure. The spa manager was friendly and clearly passionate about the facilities, and the treatment team were very good. Our twin rooms in the Lodges were clean, spacious, quiet and close to the spa. We got a friendly welcome and would definitely recommend the hotel and spa.

The grounds were incredible, and the bed was VERY comfortable. Our three-course dinner and breakfast were insanely good, and we loved the hot tub and pool temperature. The spa was relaxing and the health club facilities were very good. Our contemporary room was okay, though there was some noisy foot traffic outside the door and the TV was a little small. Being able to cast to it was a nice bonus. A great spa break and stay at Cave Castle. Thank you!

The health club and spa were great, and the food was amazing. My daughter is gluten free, and the staff explained what she could order as listed and what they could adapt for her. They even brought her dessert on a plate with “happy 21st birthday” written in chocolate. She was celebrating her 21st, and staff kindly wished her a happy birthday. We stayed in a clean family room with disability access and an accessible bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a peaceful, picturesque place, and the old building has so much character and charm.

We came for a meal and tribute act and stayed one night. The food was 7/10. Breakfast had quite a few cooked items missing at first; they were brought out, but in stages. Breakfast ends at 10 and checkout is 10:30. The hotel is in a smart 17th century building, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It was very warm overnight. There was a fan in the room, but it was too noisy for us to leave running.

The golf course was in good shape, with a nice mix of holes, and the occasional quirky feature made playing it more fun. You can walk across the course, and the views are incredible. The hotel sits in lovely grounds but is still close to local amenities. The spa and treatments were wonderful, the food excellent, and the service great. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable; we did hear one or two noisy guests, though that's not the hotel's fault. There are some quirky touches that add character. Well recommended.
