The host welcomed us into her home like old friends, and we felt relaxed and at ease throughout. The place is quirky and unique, with artistic surprises everywhere. Our bed was very comfortable, with crisp, fresh, aromatic bedding, and the bathroom towels were big, soft and fluffy. We did wish there was more storage for unpacking, though living out of a suitcase was manageable for two nights. The location worked well, at the end of town near friendly pubs and restaurants. Take the place for what it is, a beautiful, unusual spot to unwind. It looks just like the pictures.

The hostess was very nice, though she wasn’t around much. Breakfast was basic and help yourself, and we could use the kitchen to make drinks. We had a twin room with a bathroom, but getting out of the bath was really difficult, so it wouldn’t suit older or disabled guests. We stayed two nights, which felt like enough. It was much like staying in a friend’s spare room, with their clutter around and very little space for your own things.

A charming little place, with rooms full of curios and Alice in Wonderland style chintz. The hostess was lovely too. I’ll keep it in mind for future visits.
