Just So Cottage

Anna lives next door, runs the cottage and cooks a wonderful breakfast. The place is self-contained, with three beautiful en-suite bedrooms. We had two of them, and with the third unoccupied it felt like we had our own 400 year old cottage. A little piece of heaven. It was warm, relaxing, comfortable, luxurious and quaint, and much more besides. Thank you, Anna.

Anna, the host, was friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, nicely appointed and had lovely antiques. The village is lovely too. It’s a quaint, very English cottage with modern appliances throughout, finished to a high standard, with a country antiques and rural feel.

I spent two weeks here while working in the area and had a really pleasant stay. The rooms are cottage sized, but furnished to an exceptional standard and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of choices and local produce such as preserves. The host was impeccable. I’d certainly recommend staying here.

A delightful place to stay, with a friendly welcome and a delicious breakfast made with locally sourced food. The room was brilliant, and I couldn’t resist a long soak in the proper old bath tub. The staircase is old and winding, and you’ll need to duck or crouch through most of the doors. It’s a quirky, well appointed B&B. Though it was historically named after Kipling's stories, there’s no link retained.
