The castle is perfectly placed for a visit, and there’s lots to do within easy walking distance. Our room was warm and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. The restaurant was spacious but very cosy, with lovely decor. The bar felt cosy too, and the staff there were so amiable. We couldn’t fault the hotel.

The staff were helpful, the cooked breakfast was good, and it’s convenient for the castle and town. But it felt overpriced. A good Premier Inn would have offered a better room for a fraction of the cost. The property is older and a bit tired, with a late 1970s or early 1980s feel, and the menu seemed to belong to that era too. Parking is limited, costs extra and should be booked ahead.

We’ve returned to The Royal Adelaide many times to see family and friends. The staff are always welcoming, and a special thank you to Sara, Sarah and Wendy. Breakfast is excellent too. The rooms are all different in size and have their own charm. Its position beside the Long Walk is ideal, with Windsor town and the railway station both an easy walk away. Just remember to book a parking spot.

We were walking the Thames path and stayed here while visiting Windsor. The service was excellent, especially the gentleman who served us in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent as well. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and a powerful shower, and the location was perfect. The decor is looking tired and could use some attention, but I’d gladly stay here again.

Sarah made my four-night stay especially pleasant. She’s cheerful, always happy to help, and puts her guests first to make sure they’re having a good time. On my first night, I also had a problem with the heater. The male receptionist welcomed me, fixed it straight away, and checked afterwards that I was comfortable and happy in the room. I’d recommend this hotel if you want a peaceful stay.
