The Barnabas House really did feel like home, unlike the usual B&B promise. The owners made a real effort to make our group feel it was our place while we were touring. My room had a private patio and a lovely country village feel, with a modern, spotless bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the linens felt luxurious, and there was a fridge with milk plus tea and coffee. Breakfast was home-cooked and wonderful. Coop, the pharmacy, and pubs were all within walking distance. I can't recommend staying here highly enough.

We’ll come back if we’re in this part of the woods again. It’s one of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed at. The hosts are great, nothing feels like too much trouble, and breakfast has lots of choice with local ingredients. The bed was especially comfortable. Having a fridge in the room was a thoughtful touch and came in handy during the recent heatwave.

A great base for Dartmoor, with good shops and a decent pub across the road. The B&B is down a peaceful lane, very clean and nicely furnished. Our room had plenty of sockets, comfortable furniture, and fresh milk and water each day. I especially liked the chaise lounge. Breakfast was good quality too, and the hosts were friendly.

Steve and Angela made us feel so welcome at Barnabas House. Our room was spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable, with all sorts of thoughtful extras: tea to suit every taste, biscuits, cold water and milk in the fridge. The bathroom had a wonderful walk-in shower and lovely shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious and used local produce. We didn’t get to use the beautifully decorated lounge, but it has a well-stocked honesty bar. They really have thought of everything. Thanks for a great stay.

Set in a beautiful part of Dartmoor, this is a wonderful B&B. The owners are really friendly, and breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free choices. I’ll definitely stay again, thanks.
