We loved our recent stay. The rooms were tidy and laid out well, the hot tub was amazing, and the people running the place were really friendly. There isn’t a lot to do on site, but there are nearby walks and cycle routes, as well as beautiful Bude beach. You do have to travel along a stretch of main road with no pavement to reach them, so we drove everywhere. The beds were the one thing that kept this from a five star review. My girlfriend and I both struggled to sleep because they were lumpy and didn’t offer much support. It’s clear a lot of effort and money has gone into making this a great place to stay. If I heard they’d put in new, improved mattresses, I’d gladly come back.

A lovely, quiet cluster of beautiful lodges among the trees. Everything was clean, calming and nicely appointed. Parking was easy, and there were DVDs, games and books on site for rainy days.

Russ and Jules made us feel like we were visiting friends. They know the area well and were always happy to share local tips. Our spacious lodge was brilliant, a lovely escape from everyday life, and the surroundings were idyllic. We also loved the clean hot tub on the deck and the purpose-built shared play area for the kids, with games kept in weatherproof boxes. We can’t recommend the place enough.

Such a peaceful place, and each lodge feels very private. They’ve thought things through for people of all ages. The owners are lovely, leave you to enjoy your stay, and are there if you need anything. It was spotless, and the hot tub was great. Bude is a lovely place on the outskirts. Can’t wait to return, highly recommended.

We stayed at Toad Lodge, and Sparkles came by to check we were okay. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a favourite with the whole family. It’s a great base for the various beaches and other sites. Sandymouth was my favourite, and the hosts were always happy to offer advice about the area. The photo from the beach sums up our stay.
