Toppesfield House

Karen and Paul were great hosts and gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit. The B&B is a great base for discovering North Cornwall. Our room was very clean, spacious and bright, with thoughtful little touches, like a cool-down mat for a hair iron. Karen even found some Rose lemonade for us. Breakfast was great, with plenty of options including a full English, salmon and delicious fruit salad. We had a lovely stay.

Karen couldn’t have been more helpful, and she catered for my wheat and dairy intolerances too. Breakfast was superb. The room was luxurious and spotless, with its own front door and patio doors from the bedroom out to a private garden. It felt like home from home, only better. This B&B is better than any 5-star hotel we’ve stayed in.

Karen and Paul made us feel very welcome during our week’s stay in August 2020. We had room one, a good-sized, light and airy room with tasteful decor and plenty of equipment. There’s a large, comfortable bed, flat-screen TV, small fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine and good storage space. The bathroom has a large, modern shower. Karen makes a great breakfast with plenty of choice. Toppesfield House is about 10 minutes from Bude and worked well as a base for exploring the north Cornish coast. I’d have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking to stay in North Cornwall.

The room was spotless each day, breakfast had plenty of choice, and the information in the room was genuinely useful. Our host was so kind and always happy to suggest places to go. We spent four nights here with my girlfriend and were really impressed by the facilities. It’s also handy for Tintagel and port isaac. We’d love to come back.
