The breakfast was incredible, especially the salmon and scrambled egg on toasted sourdough. I stayed overnight for a nearby birthday party and it suited what I needed perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was quiet despite being well placed for the main A roads.

The homemade food is amazing, with generous portions, and everyone on staff is so friendly and welcoming. I’ve stayed four nights over Christmas and New Year, and this has become my favourite place to stay when I travel around the UK for work. I hope I can come back soon.

We’ll definitely be back. The menu had a great range, including some starters and mains that were a nice change from the usual pub fare. We came for a meal with friends, and both the service and food were excellent. Thank you 😊
