Premier Inn Burgess Hill

We had a four-night stay recently, my daughter and me, and the whole team were kind and helpful throughout. Many thanks to everyone at front of house, Zachary, Robert, chefs John and Jacob, the two lovely blonde receptionists, and all the restaurant staff. You all deserve a £5k bonus each :). Best wishes with the refurbishment.

The staff were welcoming and check-in was straightforward, but the room was a different story. There was a strong smell like old, smelly socks, stains and marks everywhere, mold in the bathroom, and damage to the table and front door. The duvet and sheet also seemed to have blood stains, so we had to change them. I reported the problems at the front desk and was told they’d be sorted, but nobody came. Building work outside was an eyesore, though it didn’t affect our stay. The hotel feels dated and needs refurbishment. Poor value for money.

I’ve stayed at plenty of Premier inns, and this one ranks among the best. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The two lads on reception were friendly, and they were also serving meals and working the bar. They never seemed to stop.

As usual, it’s a Premier Inn, and the room was clean and comfortable. I had a small room problem, but Seb at the desk went out of his way to find me another one. He gets 5* from me. Breakfast was frustrating, though. I waited more than half an hour for hot food while two other people came in, ordered hot food, and were served. I was still sitting there watching cooked breakfasts go by that looked much like what I’d ordered, but nothing arrived for me. When it finally did, I had just enough time to gulp it down. Not great, especially when you’re staying for work. It’s the little things that let it down 😔
