Courtyard Bothy

This was our second visit and we'll book again. The location is great, with loads to do nearby, especially if you enjoy walking. Karen and Neil are really friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is thoughtfully set up with everything you need and more. We loved that dogs are welcome and how clean the place is. Thanks to you both.

The Bothy makes clever use of its small space and is a lovely place for two. It has a comfortable bedroom, a good-sized bathroom, dining table, well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely sofa. Everything looks new, is very clean, and the furnishings are tasteful. There was useful information, plus fresh bread and milk. It's only a few minutes' walk from central Grantown, but the location is very quiet. We hope to come back for longer.

The Courtyard Bothy is a spacious, thoughtfully arranged base for two in the northern Cairngorms, with everything needed to self-cater. Grantown also has plenty of places to eat if you'd rather go out, and there's a pleasant outdoor seating spot for the afternoon sun. Karen and Neil were helpful, knowledgeable hosts. Their Covid precautions were meticulous without getting in the way, and we couldn't fault our stay. Update: they've made a perfect place even better with careful attention to detail, several useful small changes, and a major addition, a new heat pump and solar power for water and heating.

Karen couldn't have been more helpful when we booked a week at the bothy. She explained the changes in force in Scotland at the time so we could make the most of our stay. The bothy was spotless, quiet, and well maintained. There are great places to eat on the high street, and the surrounding area has many places to visit. The local baked goods waiting for us on arrival were wonderful and tasted fantastic. We'll be back.
