The room, Rowan, was beautiful, with a comfortable bed, a big bath, and a sunny bay window that was lovely for sitting and reading. Breakfast was spectacular, too. Isla runs a really special place, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. It was a highlight of our Speyside Way through-walk. If you’re staying in Grantown, you’ve found the place.

Our host made us feel right at home, and breakfast was both delicious and generous. The spacious room and bathroom were spotless and beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at Strathallan House. Highly recommended for a visit to the Highlands!

The breakfast was stunning, and the room and bathroom were huge, with a tub as well. This was the best bed and breakfast we’ve ever experienced. I wish I’d taken pictures!

We spent about three weeks travelling around Scotland, and this was my favourite place we stayed. The house is gorgeous, and the proprietors were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room was well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and yes, go for the full-on porridge. A great B&B.

The lounge was such a peaceful place to spend an afternoon relaxing. Our beautifully decorated room was another lovely quiet spot, and breakfast came with an excellent special that changed daily. The host was genuinely welcoming and friendly. Of all the places we stayed during our week in Scotland, this was the best accommodation and the loveliest host. Highly recommended!
