The full body massage at the spa was fantastic. My wife and I were welcomed by a lovely team, and the whole visit was a great experience. Luk deserves a special mention: he was friendly and professional, and made the treatment even better. Brilliant job, thank you. We’ll be back.

The gym and swimming pool were great, and it’s only a two-minute walk to Arthur’s Seat. We also paid £10 per hour to extend checkout by two hours. The bed and pillows were lovely, soft, thick and fluffy. Highly recommend!

The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout. My girlfriends arranged birthday afternoon tea for me at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood, and we had a wonderful time. The setting was comfortable and elegant, just right for a special occasion. Sandwiches were fresh, the scones warm, and the desserts delicious. Everything was beautifully presented, high quality and full of flavour. I’d happily return and recommend it for a relaxed afternoon tea.

The massage was amazing, and the other therapist was really good too. The spa was nice and the pool beautiful, so we had a lovely day. There was a small hiccup when they couldn’t find us in the system at first, but the receptionist, who also did our treatment, sorted everything out and we were fine. Everything else was great!

We’ve just got back to Devon after a three-night stay at Holyrood Marriott last week, and we’re already missing Edinburgh. It was our second visit, after staying here four years ago. The quiet setting is a real pleasure: parallel to the Royal Mile, but away from the crowds and traffic. Holyrood palace, Arthur's Seat and the Royal Mile shops are all close by, and we had visits to the castle and Holyrood palace booked. The rooms were clean and fresh, with walk-in showers that added a touch of luxury. Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our first evening meal so much that we booked it again for our last night. Breakfast got busy, but the staff kept things moving, quickly clearing tables and plates so everything stayed tidy. Reception and restaurant staff, morning and evening, were courteous and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks, Team Marriott, for a great stay. It felt like a home away from home.
