Breakfast had lots of choice. You picked your main breakfast the evening before, and could also have cereal or porridge beforehand. Dinner was a lovely two-course meal with outstanding food. Our waitress was brilliant with everyone, really helpful and courteous, even though we didn’t catch her name. We booked dinner, bed and breakfast through Secret Escapes and had a lovely stay at The Lawrence Hotel. Alison checked us in and kindly told us we’d been upgraded. I’d definitely recommend it for a night or two away!

The staff are fantastic, polite, efficient, and really good at their jobs. The evening meal and breakfast were both outstanding. It’s also a very dog-friendly hotel. Worth every penny and more!

Our dog was made to feel as welcome as we were at this very dog-friendly hotel. They really cater for pets rather than just putting up with them. Billie got a sausage each morning for breakfast, a Pawstar Martini with Christmas dinner, and a Christmas present! We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here for two nights, and our festive break felt really special. The hotel was wonderful, cosy, and festive. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely happy to help, which felt especially lovely with people working over Christmas. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented, with everything we needed. We were upgraded and had a bath in the room, which was a lovely surprise. On Christmas morning there was a present outside our room, and breakfast was brought to us in bed. The food was great too. We couldn’t fault the stay and will definitely remember it. We’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone wanting a dog-friendly break.

The staff were attentive, courteous, and always welcoming, and the clean, nicely decorated room felt comfortable straight away. I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the experience. There was a great selection of delicious food, all excellent quality. I’d happily come back. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was lovely, and we really enjoyed the salmon and beef bourguignon dinners. My husband is quite tall, and the reception staff went out of their way to help us have a comfortable stay. What service! Thank you. Jim & Colleen Pallister
