The Park Hotel

The main downside was hearing noise from other rooms when the hotel was busy, though it was okay at night. Rania and Fatima were lovely, friendly and helpful, and Rania was especially kind, thank you. This hotel is as described, with rooms suited to spending a night or a couple of nights. The price was okay, and our medium-sized room, room 03, was fine. The bathroom was 5/5, the heating and temperature were good, and it was clean and cozy. The location is the key.

I fractured my foot a month ago and had to travel for work, so I stayed here for a night while I was still recovering. I can manage stairs slowly, but I arrived on crutches and the receptionist checked several times whether I’d be okay with an upstairs room. I said a lower room would be better if one was available, but it was fine if not. She made a call and rearranged things so I could have their only ground-floor room. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and pillows and a nice shower. When I travel for work again, I’ll check here first to see if there’s a room available.

The location is perfect, and after being moved to room no 7 I had a clean room and a quiet stay. I’d booked one night in advance and was given single room no6 on arrival. I hadn’t expected much, but the bed linen clearly hadn’t been changed after the previous guest, with a lot of hair on the sheet and duvet. The room itself needs a basic upgrade. My advice is to book a double room, as the picture on booking .com didn’t match the actual condition.
