The building is lovely and the service was good. We came for the pub, though the food was a bit bland. The sweet potato fries were great.

The menu at The Pear Tree has plenty beyond ordinary pub food, including British classics with a twist, such as elevated fish and chips, gourmet burgers and seasonal pies. Sunday roasts come in generous portions, with crispy roast potatoes and rich gravy. There are thoughtfully prepared vegetarian and vegan dishes, plus homemade-feeling puddings and tarts. The Pear Tree dates back to the 1800s and is one of the oldest buildings in the Hammersmith/Fulham area. It's tucked on a quiet street, with a cozy, character-filled interior and a secluded garden.

That back terrace is beautiful, such a lovely spot. I come here often for the atmosphere and food. The chicken wings are the best I've ever had, and the nachos are incredible too. Don't miss the pulled pork sandwich. I met the woman who runs the kitchen as well, and she's an absolute delight. Highly recommend!
