I stayed here while cycling the Way of Roses. Richard, the owner, was friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. The rooms felt comfortable and homely, were clean, and came with tea, coffee, and fresh milk. The English breakfast was especially good quality.

Burnsall and nearby Appletreewick were our favourite stretch of the Dales Way, and the B&B is in a great spot for enjoying them. We loved our comfortable room and the delicious English breakfast. When we arrived late and were about to miss our dinner booking, Richard kindly gave us a last minute lift into Appletreewick. He was a great host.

Richard was welcoming and friendly, and it was interesting chatting with him. We were there for two nights for a nearby wedding. The clean room had a very comfortable bed, and fresh milk on the tea tray was a nice touch. Breakfast was top-notch, with yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, and a cooked-to-order full English, plus juice, pots of tea, and freshly brewed coffee. The price was great value. My only small drawback was a shower that wasn’t very powerful, but I’d happily stay again.

The B&B is right by the river, with lovely nature all around, and we felt very comfortable during our few days there. I came from Germany with my family for a hiking trip, and breakfast set us up well for the walks. We had a wonderful time. Thank you, Richard.

I’ve stayed three times and plan to keep coming back. The rooms are nice and tidy, breakfast is delicious, and Richard is very helpful and accommodating. It’s a good overnight stop for the Dales Way or a ride along the Way of the Roses. Richard also knows dry stone walling and offers courses if you’d like to learn something new during your stay.
