When we arrived late after a long travel day, we were hungry and the restaurant was already closed. The staff still made us something to eat and let us dine comfortably in the restaurant, which was way beyond what we expected. The rooms at the Aberdour were clean and spacious, and breakfast the next morning was excellent with lovely service from the morning team. They also suggested places to visit and were so kind. Parking at the hotel is limited, but staff directed us to the rail station down the street, just a short walk through this sweet little town.

The menu is small, but everything on it is done to a really high standard. I had some of the ratatouille and it was excellent, though the haggis, neeps and tatties were easily the best I’ve had. That whisky sauce was amazing too. It’s an unassuming place serving fantastic food, and I’d highly recommend it for a great meal. The scran is top quality. I wish more places served a traditional Scots dinner this well.

We’ve been coming to the Aberdour hotel for lunch and dinner for years, and it keeps getting better. The local produce is a real draw, with plenty of choice and everything freshly cooked. On today’s visit the food was outstanding, and the friendly, helpful staff were a delight to deal with. We had a really enjoyable afternoon and I won’t leave it long before coming back. Hard to beat in Fife, absolutely recommend it for lunch or dinner. 10 out of 10.

It’s a cozy pub hotel with a nice rustic feel, and the staff were wonderful, really friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The food was very good and the superior room comfortable. A few things could be better: the bathroom could use refurbishment, WiFi needs separate codes for the building and the room, and a sign with the passwords would help. The TV was a bit small and not a smart TV. In 2026, Netflix and streaming services feel like a must. These are just constructive suggestions to improve the stay. See the photos of what we had on our visit. A solid 4 stars.

I stay at this hotel throughout the year and regularly come back. The food and service have always been excellent. For an evening meal, I’d book ahead, though they do try to fit you in if you haven’t. The soup, steak pie, fish pie and fish and chips are all worth recommending. Bethany served me on my recent visit and was first class, as well as very funny. MT
