The house was clean and had all the essentials, and we especially enjoyed the pretty view from the back garden. The host was really friendly. There's street parking right outside, and two beaches nearby: Burry Port beach is a must, with the country park beach another option. We had a lovely time, and would plan a barbecue next time!

The country park is very close, and the beach was a hit with our two little cavachons. Pembry itself is quiet and rural, but the main shops are only a short drive away, and there's plenty to do nearby for all ages. We even watched the Boxing Day walrus swim, which was great fun. We hadn't visited this part of Wales before and fell in love with it. We booked the cottage at the last minute over Christmas after a stressful few months of medical treatment for both of us and a bereavement in the family. We needed to get away from the rat race, and the clean, spacious accommodation had everything we needed. We arrived very late on Christmas Eve, almost Christmas morning, but the owners left their celebrations at the local pub to let us in and show us around. They'd put up a Christmas tree and decorations, and left bread, milk and a bottle of wine. Such a kind touch. The owners were so friendly, and we learned a lot from them about the area's history. We've recharged for the next stage of our journey, and hope to come back later this year, health permitting. Thank you, Hilary and Jeff, and I hope we've got the spelling right.

The sitting room downstairs was lovely, and there are two pubs just across the street. Street parking was easy, and there are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance. Dinner is available too. The hosts were gracious and very accommodating, the place was immaculate, and breakfast was wonderful.

The owner made us feel welcome, and the house is lovely and spacious. The only issue was that the bedroom and mattress could get too warm at night, especially in summer.

We stayed in the self-catering cottage and found it well equipped. It welcomes dogs, and there's a pub across the road. Perfect for us!
