The old building has lots of charm, and there’s plenty of crockery and cutlery. The location is great too, with free parking and Wi-Fi. But a weekend for three with just one toilet roll wasn’t enough, and the kettle was disgustingly coated in limescale. The stain on the sofa that an earlier review mentioned was still there, and the single beds would benefit from mattress toppers. Those letdowns took away from the good parts.

For a good price, we had a kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom, and the accommodation was lovely, small but perfectly formed. It’s just a short walk to the Abbey gardens and town centre, so the spot is brilliant for exploring Bury. I’d happily stay again.

The grounds are kept in good shape and everything inside was very clean. It’s a lovely place, with nearly everything our group of eight needed. We couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to connect to the internet, though, and the microwave could’ve been a bit bigger. Still, we had a lovely stay.

The house has some interesting features and sits in a fantastic spot. If you’re staying more than a short while, though, bring extra toilet paper, oven gloves and cooking utensils. What they provide is only the bare minimum.

Apartment 2 was warm, clean and had everything we needed. It’s close to the town centre and Abbey Gardens, and dogs are welcome. 🐕
