Worlington Hall

The waitresses were pleasant and very good, and the tablecloth and cutlery were nice, but the food was nothing special. The men said their fish was very nice, though the mushy peas looked awful and had been cooked to death. My portobello sandwich, which was also ordered by one friend, was bland and boring, missing the caramelised onion and toasted on one side only, so the bottom was soggy. The fries weren't good quality, with too many bad bits. My ice cream dessert was a stingy portion, and my friends' apple crumble came with watery custard. We went for lunch yesterday for our 61st anniversary. I'd heard great things about the restaurant, so it was disappointing. We got 50% off the main course through a promotion, but I'd have been very disappointed at full price. There wasn't much vegetarian choice, as usual. After we'd ordered fish and chips and the portobello sandwich, we waited quite a while, then the waitress came to say there was only one portion of fish left. We looked at the menus again, then she returned to say another portion had turned up, so the men had fish and my friend ordered the sandwich too.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with the whole family, staying the night, and all the ladies had our makeup done before we went out. Emma helped me so much with arranging the day, including the makeup artist and photographer. Sam really looked after us, and the bar manager was exceptional, though I'm sorry I didn't get your name. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and the service was exceptional. The rooms were all different, beautifully decorated, and had lovely china teacups. Everything in them was high quality, and we had the most comfortable stay. The Christmas decorations made the place even more beautiful. The hotel exceeded all my expectations, with a wonderful mix of comfort and luxury. It was hard to leave. I'd highly recommend it.

Emma made hosting my sister's baby shower at Worlington Hall easy from start to finish. She communicated clearly and warmly, and was happy to help with everything. The venue looked beautiful, the food was fantastic, and we felt so well cared for on the day. Everything was perfect, and I'm so grateful they helped make it a special celebration.

We had a delicious roast at a very reasonable price, and all my guests loved the event. The staff at the Worlington hall were so helpful, and the room setup was amazing, with an open fire and beautiful Christmas decorations. I hosted my baby shower here as a private event, and it was so special. I'd absolutely recommend it and will use the venue again.
