The beer garden was a real highlight, and the food was excellent. The beer was brilliant too, with faultless service from start to finish and genuinely lovely staff throughout. I absolutely loved my stay. The accommodation was cosy, clean and full of character, and the location was fantastic for exploring the area.

We were in a nearby cottage and had a fantastic meal at the Cheshire Cheese pub. My wife and son chose the steak special, while I had fish and chips, then we shared meringue roulade for pudding. Everything was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. Proper pub grub, as they say. We enjoyed sitting by the log stove for a drink afterwards.

We got a table for six at short notice on a cold Tuesday in February. The welcome was warm, and the home-cooked meals were generous and really tasty. Proper pub food with a few street-food touches. We'd happily come back.

The Manifold room was so cosy, and the bed gave me the best night's sleep in ages. Dinner was delicious, good home cooking and reasonably priced, and breakfast was just as nice. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. There were five of us and we all loved our stay. I can't fault the place.

Sitting by the fire with our dog stretched out nearby was bliss. The young man at the bar was chatty, polite, and made us feel welcome. We picked a few street food dishes tapas-style since we weren't sure what we fancied, and every one came out hot, well seasoned, tasty, and in a good portion. Absolutely stunning food.
