Breakfast was a real highlight, with options like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on avocado. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The hotel sits in a lovely part of town, close to Buxton centre, and the young Australian who runs it was incredibly pleasant. Highly recommended.

Buxton's walks, parks, pubs, restaurants, theatre and market are right nearby, and the host knows the area brilliantly. Add a great breakfast and a wonderful welcome, and it made for a real experience. A top stay.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. Our room was comfortable too. It's a pleasant guest house, around ten minutes from the high street, and we'd happily stay again. Definitely recommend it.

They'd left fresh milk in the room for us, which was a nice touch. The guest house is cosy and friendly, and we got useful, accurate tips about the area. It's also just a short walk into town.

A lovely guesthouse at a good price. The frustrating part was that they weren't willing to let us leave our bags at reception for even a few hours after checkout.
