8/10

The apartment was clean and the appliances worked fine, but it could do with an update. The settee sagged, the mattress was tired, and the worktop by the kitchen sink looked worn. It was an interesting place to stay, in a former cotton mill. There are walks from the door, and a pub at the start of the road serves good food if you don't feel like cooking. As a couple of days away, it was OK. The other residents seemed fed up with holiday-makers and weren't especially friendly.

A roomy place tucked away from the usual routes, with good walking nearby and access to the Mondal Trail.

The setting was beautiful, and the apartment was really comfortable. We had a fantastic week here.

A lovely place to stay, with plenty of beautiful walks by the river Wye and along the Monsal trail.

Everything was spot on, and the place was outstanding. Shame about the weather.
