The hosts were welcoming, the bed and breakfast were great, and they even helped dry our wet clothes. This is an amazing place for adventurers. Our fantastic host shared local knowledge, and there were loads of maps, activity ideas and brochures to browse, so you'll find plenty to do in this picturesque Peak District. The location is stellar for Thor's Cave and many other spots, with so many landscapes and walks nearby. I've told family and friends and can't wait to return and find our next hidden gem. 10/10 in all aspects.

We always have great stays at both the Old Vicarage B&B and the Little Vicarage self catering cottage. Nicky looks after us well at the B&B, where the rooms are exceptional and breakfast comes with homemade break and jam alongside the fabulous cooked food. The cottage is also excellent, and Nicky leaves flowers and homemade break for our arrival. See you soon, folks. :) Jenny, A Time to Kiln

A lovely place to wake up to birdsong, and a gem of a B&B for exploring a beautiful area with outstanding walks. It's also well placed for Chatsworth and its annual flower show. Nicky is a great host and does all she can to make you comfortable. I'll definitely come back.

Nicola made the accommodation feel like home and gave us helpful advice about the area, as well as help with everything we needed. We spent a long weekend hiking nearby and exploring the Peak District, and this was a great base in a great location.

There are lovely walks right from the front door, and the setting among beautiful gardens is out of this world, so quiet and relaxing. Breakfasts are fantastic, with endless tea and coffee and homemade bread for toast. Nicky is a lovely, welcoming host, and Massie the dog is always ready for you to throw a ball in the garden. Couldn't fault this B&B at all. 10 out of 10 all round.
