The quiet setting among lovely trees, with a great view, made for a lovely stay. Our room was clean and good, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'm celiac, and they cooked my gluten-free food in the oven to avoid cross-contamination. Thanks, guys, we loved our stay.

The views and closeness to nature were fantastic, and the common areas felt really cosy. I had a lovely weekend here for the PBU winter retreat. The rooms were well heated, the bathrooms clean, and although the showers could use some renovation, they were still good. I loved the big window, and I slept surprisingly well on a comfortable bed. The mattresses have waterproof covers, which felt much more hygienic than a standard mattress.

We had a great stay with a school group, with lovely surroundings, large grounds to explore, and good walks nearby, including the Monsal Trail. The facilities were decent and the staff friendly. There was a heating problem caused by a third party, but Romia, Jeannie and Ross kept us informed and did everything they could to help. They brought extra duvets and went to nearby hostels to get heaters for each room. The issue was fixed by lunch the next day. I'm very grateful for how hard they worked to keep us comfortable.

We arrived as five blokes on motorbikes and were made to feel welcome. The staff were friendly, really helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. The rooms were very clean, the facilities fantastic, and there was always plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great too.
